Bio:
David Bonior has extensive experience in progressive politics, having served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 26 years. During his time in Washington, Rep. Bonior served as both Majority and Minority Whip. Much of Rep. Bonior’s work has been fueled by his passions for social and economic justice. Rep. Bonior has earned a reputation as a strong voice for working families and as a leader on the environment, civil rights, jobs, and fair trade. Prior to joining the Edwards campaign in October 2006, Rep. Bonior served as Chairman of American Rights at Work and as University Professor of Labor Studies at Wayne State University.
